Introduction to
3D Game Development
- Mini Jam
In Introduction to 3D Game Development on the 9th of January 2015 , we did a small 6 hour game jam. We tried to translate a text-based adventure into 3D. It proofed to be to much and we didn´t get anything playable in the end, but at least i got to create a number of very different 3D assets - from hammocks to unicorns.
Global Game Jam 2015
From the 23rd of January until the 25th of January, i participated in the Global Game Jam 2015 (GGJ). With a small team i created a survival game that takes place in a spaceship, called "Canned Escape" (Canned = in a can + Canned Escape ~= Can't Escape).
You control an astronaut trying to repair the ship's communication device to call for help. You need to control temperature and air distribution in the ship and have to grow plants for food and air in order to survive. Since it takes place in space, the game features weightless movement.

I was once again responsible for 3D-Art, creating character models, animations and some of the environment assets (plants, the ship and some of the furniture and electronics). A second 3D Artist in our team created some further environment assets.
Innogames Game jam #9
From the 6th of November to the 8th of November 2015, I participated in the 9th Innogames Game Jam in Hamburg.
In a group of 7 people (rather large for a game jam) we created a crazy little Beat 'em up called "Tot 'Em Up. It features a totem in the background of the battlefield whose symbols alter the state of the battle, from fireballs instead of punches to intoxication like hallucinations. The theme of the game jam was "strange rituals", so this game is all about orcs beating each other in a strange tribal fighting ritual. It is pure local multiplayer and up to 5 players can pummel each other to death!

I created the model for the orc (player character) and all animations used by the orc. Textures and environmental assets where made by other artists in the group.
